OUR DISTRICTS

The town of Lynnfield is​ part of two districts in the Massachusetts Legislature: one in the Senate, and one in the House of Representatives. 

The Senate is comprised of 40 members, with each Senator elected to represent a district consisting of approximately 159,000 people.  (www.malegislature.gov / Legislators / Senate)

The House of Representatives is comprised of 160 members, each representing a district of approximately 40,000 people. (www.malegislature.gov / Legislators / House)

Third Essex (Senate)

In the Massachusetts Senate, Lynnfield is part of the Third Essex district, consisting of:

  • the city of Lynn 

  • Lynnfield

  • Marblehead

  • Nahant

  • Saugus

  • Swampscott in the county of Essex

20th Middlesex (House of Representatives)

In the House of Representatives, Lynnfield is part of the 20th Middlesex district, consisting of:

  • North Reading; Reading: Precincts 1, 6, 7, 8;

  • Lynnfield (Essex Co.);

  • Middleton: Precinct 1 (Essex Co.)
